Sure, why not? I think Obama would make a great President.

Hi,
Obviously you a person with a good spirit. I am a black women and personally I don't want to have a black person for president. Yes we have some people who are overly qualified to be President. The problem for me is that things are so messed up from previous administrations they will never be fixed. A black person would merely be a scapegoat to justify everything that their white counterparts have done wrong. Prejudice and hate are a part of the Devil's workshop. Normally prejudice is found in people who cannot accept some facts about themselves like being intelligent or a great athlete for example. Instead of giving that person the credit that they deserve they find something wrong. They no longer have anybody to boss around which takes away their power. Now they have to compete with the very people they use to have enslalved. Sweetie don't ever live your life hating anyone. You mess up your own life and miss all of your blessings. If Father can forgive horrible people so can you. People of all races have committed crimes each other. Try to think in "shades of grey" instead of black and white. I'm black and I don't hate white people collectively. I dislike some that I have met that is because they were assholes not because they white, these in particular would be assholes if they were orange or any other color. Evaluate people individually not collectively. Keep being open-minded and having a good spirit. Talk to God some times. God Bless You

The reason we have not had a black president is that the candidates come from one of two sectors- either the whacked out left- Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, or if they are republicans- they are blacklisted by the Black establishment and ignored by the mainstream media (Alan Keyes... Think Clarence Thomas- though not a presidential candidate- same principle.
We may have a black president very soon though because their are some potential candidates who do not fit into these two categories- Barak Obama, Condi Rice, Colin Powell. Obama is a liberal but not fringe so he could be a legit contender. Powell and Rice- though both have seemed to indicate hesitation at running- are too big of names to ignore. So a black president may be on the horizon- no guarantee- but it actually has a legit chance for the first time in US History

Nothing's wrong with a black president. Most people believe this, and it's actually not much of an issue in politics.
A lot of people think Colin Powell could have been president if he wanted to run.
Just make sure that when you vote for a person, you're not voting for a gender or skin color. Voting for a woman or minority just to try to get more "diversity in politics" is basically racism or sexism. There are a lot of well qualified "diverse" people, and they don't need pity votes.

So according to you a black president will not be corrupt even though theres been hundreds of them all over the world that have been? You are the one who seems immature and childish if you think just because someone is black they will be an honest president

As a "Whitie", You bet and I would strongly vote for a person of color (any !!! Black, Yellow, White, Red) Any!!!
It doesn't matter! If they are the best person capable of running the Greatest Country on Earth, they have my vote!!!
It is only those who cannot think for themselves that vote for a party alone or a color alone!
This, IMHO, is the way it should be.

You seem quite confused. First, you ask if we will ever have a black president---and you are able to twist that into black people raping or killing one of our family members!
Good grief,...I am white, but I would vote for a black president in a heartbeat,...even if the black president were a WOMAN...providing I believed she could do the job.
FYI---there are A LOT of white people who engage in criminal behavior, who rape, pillage and murder. That is not a trait exclusive to the black population.

Probably.
The current system is on the verge of total economic collapse due to the debt loads and the lack of usefulness to our behaviors and our production. The only hope is that someone from the world of the lower class who understands poverty will stand up to lead after the rich are eaten by the mobs.

There is still to much racism in USA so I doubt. On the other hand the black population is growing fast and I am sure other minorities will support the black person too.So may be is possible at the end but not for the right reasons

I believe the first black president will be someone like Martin Luther King Jr.
A man who believes in pulling yourself up by the bootstraps.
The trouble is that most of the top black leaders like Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton turn most voters off because they always pull out the race card to further their agenda.

I am putting my money on Barack Obama as our first black president. Probably around 2012 or 2016. I have to laugh when I hear Repubs say Condi Rice....They know nothing about her policy positions. All we know about her public record is that she defends this administration's failed foreign policy.
