I've done a full article reviewing the details of the so-called "Internet Gambling Ban". The page includes a link to all sites allowing American players.

There IS no ban! The Act Bush signed changes nothing. DON'T PANIC!!

So far the sites that I personally know of that are NOT taking US poker players is:
Party Poker, Pacific Poker, Paradise Poker (888), Noble Poker, Titan Poker, Poker Ocean, PokerRoom.com, Hollywood Poker, Empire Poker, USA Poker, Betfair Poker, Nine.com, InterPoker, Fair Poker, BetHold'em, William Hill, Bet 365 Poker, Betfred Poker, and Celeb Poker. I am sure there are others though.
If you don't have a site to play at, I would recommend Poker.com. They are having a $5000 Freeroll just for US players. All you have to do is use code FREEDOMFREEROLL with your first deposit. You will receive an entry into the $5000 Freedom Freeroll, a $500 freeroll for first time depositors, and a 100% reload bonus up to $500.

The bill actually prohibits transfers from banks to poker sites, it doesn't make playing illegal. Some sites banned US players but a lot told Bush and Frist to f--- off and are allowing US players. http://www.ultimatepokerbankroll.com/article.php/internet-gambling-ban-poker-sites-status has a list of sites that still allow US players. If you liked Paradise you should check out Full Tilt Poker, the software is faster and the player base is about the same size (actually it is a bit bigger.) http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/?aff=3425&code=?=0&ext=

There are quite a few sites that have taken a stand and have pledged to keep on-line poker available to US poker players. If you want more than just a list of sites that accept US players check out http://www.moderngrinder.com they are following all the issues regarding the new law and have a ton of great articles on on-line poker.
