Open it up in adobe photoshop or another photo editing program, then adjust the image size. Or, in photoshop, change any tiny little thing (I usually just brighten the color a bit), then save, and when you save it will give you the option of how large you want the file to be.

What happens with scanners is that they have their own format and quite often will not work in most other programs. Most uploads require the format be in ... jpg.... (jpeg) . So it is best to scan into a photo program. Open a photo program and find the aquire button usually in the file tab. Then save as a... jpeg and rename the file. That should work. If file is still to large then look for a resize button in the photo program.

The easiest ways is to... 1. Make sure the photo is in JPEG format and not BMP 2. Resize the photo to a smaller size. The smaller the photo, the lesser the size of the file itself. There's many programs that will resize photos.

If it's a bitmap, open it with picture viewer and change it to jpg format, which is a much smaller file size. Good luck.
