It depend on what were you dreaming about. Water represent life. But if you were dreaming about struggling in water, then you have some things you are struggling over that needs your attention. If it was raining, then a new life, opportunity is representing itself to you that is about to come up in your near future. It all depends on what was in the dream and how it is relating to you. All dreams are not set in stone. What one dream may mean to one, it may not mean the same to another person. Your life has a major factor in the translation.

Did you wake up in a puddle?
But seriously, if water is a recurring theme then there might be something to it. However, it could be anything that is associated with water. You could also be making your own new association. But it is not a big deal. Your mind is relieving some kind of stress, it does not have to make sense in a dream.

I go through periods where all of my dreams are associated with water. It depends on what the context was. Mine were about floods, tidal waves, oceans and drowning, torrential rains, etc. Obviously I was overwhelmed in life.
I have also gone through periods of time when I dreamed about nothing but bathrooms, usually dirty ones. What's up with that?

I think you can answer your own question. Just think about how the water
made you feel. Have you had any past history dealing with water issues.
Do you like water? Are you afraid of being in water? Is it a welcome retreat
to float in the water? You just need to talk it over or think it over and the
answer you are looking for will find you.
