You need to start looking now. There are going to be several people this year that are going to be disappointed to find out that not only are they not going to get there "cheap last min. deal". But going no where at all. Flights already are filling up. IF you wait, I can tell you the rates WILL go up, just a matter of how much.

It is all based on availability. I'm not sure why anyone would wait to book spring break if they are serious to go. Out of Minneapolis here there used to be daily Vegas departures and a few a day at that. Now as far as charters are concerned they are flying Sun & Thurs. That's it and there are always a few times departing a day. So wait and either pay more or don't go.

It's basic supply and demand. They are running fewer flights, but the demand is still there.

Airlines need to get people to the fact you are going to have to start booking in advance now to get good prices. The way of booking travel as it was before is disappearing.

So seriously though my advice is to look now. I always tell people for travel "Book when you know what you want, but don't book out of haste just to have something booked". That is when it is the right time for you to buy.

There are going to be ones that think the prices they are seeing for this soon to be winter season is "high" and it will come down because fuel is going down. Sorry, but prices aren't up just because of fuel, they are restructering and trying to actually turn a profit rather than lose money.

SO BOOK IN ADVANCE! Will be in your best interest! =)

Take this from a person who looks at travel day in and day out of lots of different destinations.

Good question! I'd say go ahead & check out prices now. Checkout sites like STA Travel and Student Universe. They always have cheap packages but what really gets you is the fluctuating airline ticket. Check now for prices & if they look decent, go ahead & buy! Cause you never know if prices will go down any further.
