I am 8 hours away from my dad. He's super and I love him a lot. I am 22 hours away from my mom. Which is fairly lucky. Hey, can you trade me moms? I'll give you a hero cookie.

Now that I am older, and after all my family has gone through lately (my dad went through prostate cancer, and recently they found more cancer that will have to be removed, we moved back home after being gone for many years and we all figured out how much we truly loved each other) we have become very close. I have always loved my parents dearly, but for many many years felt a separation from them due to my mother's attitude about me with all my birth defects, and I took it the wrong way. She is a Capricorn, I'm a Virgo, and most Cappies are greatly misunderstood. One night we had it out, and come to find out, she had many misconceptions about me as well. She felt that I am an emotionally cold person because I am stingy with my physical affection, and because of this that I blamed her for my medical problems. Since then, we have been learning about each other, and finding out that our love is much deeper than either of us ever realized. In the process, I am learning more about myself and finally opening up to those I am close to, which is something I never pictured myself doing. I'm loving it, and have never felt happier in my life.

my father is in a different country right now. (he will be back in 1 month!) my mom is 2 rooms down. and emotionally on a scale of 1 to 10. (10 being the closest) i am an 8 with them

I am very close to my parents... which is funny because I always swore that once I turned 18 I was out! But now that I am older, I love them both very much and hope that my husband and I can last through everything that they went through. I would rather hang out with them then my best friend.

I'm about 250 miles from my mom and over 1000 from my dad. I don't talk to them as often as I should. They are both remarried and sometimes it's difficult to have to deal with a step-parent. But when I do see them, once or twice a year, we get along fine.

Emotionally and physically, very close. I spend a lot of time with my mom, and she lives just down the street from me.

I am 900 miles away from them, and could not be any further away from them emotionally. Some people are just anchors on the ship of life.

I was near that close to my mom and my parents divorced when I was 13 and didn't see my dad too much after that. I really miss my mom now, she died when I was 18 and I'd love to have her here today so I could talk to her about things.

Physically they are across the country. Emotionally, I am very close to my dad, I am his girl. My mom and I....our relationship leaves something to be desired, but of course I love her and respect her.

I live in the same town. I am close, but yet still far enough emotionally to not drown them out.
