I found that Oxyclean works great for this. You can't just throw a scoop of it in the washer, though; you have to follow the directions on the container for soaking and then let the items soak overnight. Sometimes there will still be a little of the stain showing when you're done soaking, but if you then wash them normally in the washing machine, they will almost always come out pristine.

My dad said to try WD40. Sounds crazy, I know, but he's right about sooooo many things. I'm going to try it next time oxiclean and peroxide don't do it. Did anyone say peroxide? You could try that - works really well on those embarrassing monthly accidents we mom's have all had too. Pour it right on the stain, even the old ones. Let it sit until it stops fizzing, then throw it in the wash with some oxi and soap. Works pretty well. Otherwise, well, scissors or a lighted match! Let us know which works best for you, okay? Inquiring minds want to know.....

I use cloth diapers exclusively. You don't need to use bleach or a bunch of harsh chemicals to get the stains out (and you really don't want your baby wearing clothes that have been washed in them.) Nothing gets out poo stains like the sun. Hang or lay out your baby stained clothes in the sunshine for a few hours and the sun will literally bleach the stains out. Try it; if nothing else it's free to try & won't hurt.

BIZ and Gain. I soak clothes in Biz and hot water for about and hour. If stain doesn't come out all the way put some power biz on stain and rub with toothbrush, then I wash with Gain. I am a chef and allways have all kinds of stains if Biz and Gain can't get it out throw it out.

Rinse them in cold water and treat with shout immediately. After washing in the machine check to make sure the stain is out before throwing in the dryer.

Keep a sprayer of Shout or Spray & wash right on the changing table. When you remove poopy clothes, spray them (a lot) right away and go toss them in the washer right away so they will be sure to get in the very next load (and not smell up the nursery being in the laundry basket!).

I use Shout, coupled with Oxi clean and regular detergent. Bleach for the whites(in addition to everything else). Baby stains can be a pain to get out, but keep trying, you'll find something that can do the trick.
