Diet for sure, stay away from the fast foods, don't eat after 7pm and definitely begin exercising 3 to 4 days a week. I was told by a personal trainer that it is best to do this as well as walk or run for 30 minutes and do some weight training for the other 30 minutes and then that way you will lose weight. I have seen results by doing this for almost a month now, it is really effective. Do exercises that interest you. If you have enough money it is best to actually see a personal trainer and then they can help set you up with a diet and fitness program that best works for you. Some of the trainers have someone do a 10 week program. It usually takes a few months to lose weight anyhow. Just stay persistent with an exercise routine and then you will see results but don't expect them to fast.

Before you start a weight loss program, take a few body-measurements. Measure your bust, waist, hips, thighs and upper arms. Keep a note and re-check your measurements every couple of weeks. Being able to see improvements in body shape, as well as weight, can be a useful extra boost if weight loss slows.
You don't have to start a totally new calorie-plan overnight. You can start by eating (say) 2000 calories, then lower this by 100 calories a week until you reach (say) 1400 calories. Keeping a food journal, in which you record foods/drink consumed, is a great way to monitor (and be inspired by) progress.
Exercise, walking, water aerobics, riding a bike etc.

I disagree with cutting out everything white. A lot of those things give energy and are part of a balanced meak, which is more important. The key is to also use that energy. You came to the swimming part so you're heaed in the right direction. Simming laps is an excellent way of getting into shape and sheeding some lb's. It uses nearly every muscle in the body at once and it's fun to do. Start out small but increase your distance at every workout.

Do swimming at least 3-4 times a week. Breast stroke will help u shed ur extra fats around your body. If possible cut down ice-creams if u are having it more.

swimming laps is great, you'll feel good and have more energy in the long run as well.
But if you don't want to swim, power walking is the next best thing.

You can start by cutting out all the white stuff out of your diet. Don't eat anything white. No sugar, no salt, no bread, no potatos, etc. Try that and see what happens. Good luck!
