I'm curious how many of you think that the world is messed up because it's run by men. Please minimize kneejerk responses motivated by past experiences with a bad boyfriend. I'm curious what you actually think. If I read pop culture right, then men in general are thought of as being basically as worthy of praise as Homer Simpson. But pop culture is often on the surface of society and not necessarily an indication of what's really on people's minds. I know there are a lot of false things that pop culture indicates about what I as a man apparently think and so I offer this survey in hopes to get insight into what you think.

I am a man, and I think the world would run better if it was run by women!

well, in the first place, the world is not run by men. It was 50 years ago, even 25 years ago (and yes, some parts of the world still are) but things in the Western World have changed enormously. The post-WWII generation of women came of age at a time when the good ol' boys rules were being battered by social forces beyond their control, and we took advantage of that to step up beside the other 48% of the population and assume our responsibilities as citizens.

We are judges, politicians, members of the clergy, college professors, military personnel, governors, police officers, and captains of finance. And whether we like it or not we are equally to blame (or to praise?) for what is going on in the world today.

I am not convinced it would be better if run by women. I think the strong suit of women in this regard is that they are better able to understand people and a situation. However, I think that woman tend to ruminate over problems more--and men are generally better able to implement solutions (which woman are often very good at devising).

These are of course broad generalizations--but are based upon research on the biological and neurological differences between the sexes.

I think world needs men and women both ,side by side. Women are soft , gentle and well-organized.They don't wanna fight or start a war! Men wanna prove that they are right .Whether is with war or fight or some other violence. But anyway I think both are needed in the world. Women should be more involved in politics anyway.

I think we are all equal apart for differing genitalia. Men and women have equal abilities to learn anything, so there is no difference in IQ. Women, in general, are not quite as strong as men. We are socialised to behave differently and that is not our doing. people should be treated the same regardless of gender.

Interesting question! My woman's intuition says that the world would still be messed up ... just in different ways!
