How long have you been searching, or waiting, why do people make things so complicated?

I want to be married to the person that I love, so then I can spend the rest of my life with them. I haven't been searching for long. I have been with the person I love for about 10 years and I have only thought about being married for a year. It isn't making things complicated.

I had just gotten used to the idea of living alone after I divorced my husband and my son finally graduated and moved out. I rejoiced in my singleness and enjoyed the empty nest. I was content being single.
Out of the blue I met someone who swept me off my feet. I was not looking for a romance when we met, but it was love at first sight. We are not married yet, but plan to in the near future. I am incredibly happy. The thing is I may never have met him if I had not responded to a question here on "answers!"

im 23, have a son from a 7 year relationship, went on to marry another for 2 years before i ended up burying him. trust me, not all single people want to get married! id rather have a wham-bam-thankyou-man, see you later maybe!

I'm single and do not want to get married. My daughter is single and doesn't want to get married...maybe you shouldn't generalize because not all single people want to get married.
