I have a round face. Try to style your hair so it's not bunched around the ears. I clip it with barrettes or hairpins behind my ears, even when it's cut short. Put your blush on under the cheekbones. It's meant as a shadow underneath, not directly on the apple of the cheek.

Say the word
EEEEYAH !!!
and
YYYYYEEEESSSSSS !!!
loudly
about ten times in rapid succession
every five minutes or so. That will
train your chin to go down and
lengthen the shape of your face.
The facial muscles involved in saying
eeeyah and yyyeeesss will become
strengthened and loose their flacid
texture. A much more pleasing result
will be gained without to much discomfort.
Try to do this in confined spaces for
maximum effect. Closets and elevators
are ideal for maximizing these facial
extensions. Also, lean in close to mirrors
in the rest rooms of large, corporate offices
and practice this exercise. The mirrors in
those rest rooms are far superior to the
average home owner's bathroom mirror.
You should begin reaping the benefits of this
exercise within one month, possibly less.
If you ride the bus to and from work each day,
you could use that time productively by pulling
out a compact and opening it to reveal the mirror
inside for a few quick repetitions of the exercise.
Remember to say each exclamation loudly and
take a deep breath in between each of them so
the facial muscles do not become deprived of
oxygen and droop again. Buses are far better
than driving your automobile for this workout.
It is seldom possible to devote enough of your
attention to the exercise while driving a vehicle,
except at long stop lights, and in heavy, slow
moving traffic.

If you want to see if your hair looks good with bangs, take the hair growing in the front and pull it slightly back over your head, so that there is a "fold" right above your eye brows or so. That's what I did before I cut mine. My face is rather round, and I get many compliments on my bangs. I think they work for me. Mine are blunt and straight-across.

Make a fish face sucking your cheeks in while doing that, your blush on along that crease. starting at about the same level as the tip of your nose. my rule is to use whatever lipstick I'm wearing i put on my cheeks its the same as a cream blush, and you always match.
also you can apply a foundation that is a few shades darker than your normal, apply this to the sides of your face and nose. and apply it your normal foundation to the t zone area.

foundation and blush. it depends on you skin color for the use of blush:
Pale skin: light pink
Tan skin: a medium-shade pink
Dark skin: a dark pink is good.
apply blush right under cheekbones vertically ( up down). (hint: make your face like a fish, it will help you identify where your cheekbones are.) apply as much as you want. sometimes i find smearing helps.
