You must be good. You know the top acoustic guitar line, Martin, although Ovations are a close contender. Martins are legendary. The vintage is broken in and the extra age of the wood may give it a slightly better sound. Only an experienced player with good ears would notice though. You are probably in this category. As far as the above answer about "history" and "stories", you won't know the history or stories so "so what!"

Takamine Jasmine, Yamaha, and Ibanez all make somewhat stable acoustics in that funds, yet i could evade the Maestro (by way of Gibson - i does no longer even call it a Gibson). The %. could sound like a competent theory, yet you get very decrease priced upload-ons with those. you don't get a case, you get a bag, and an rather decrease priced one at that (oftentimes tear or the zipper breaks fairly rapid). A guitar bag, strap, possibilities, and tuner will in all probability value yet another $50 on precise of the value of the guitar although, so in case you somewhat can no longer cope with to pay for that the packs are a competent theory to get you started. i do no longer understand if the Takamines are available in a %. yet Ibanez and Yamaha the two have decent starter packs that ought to be extra beneficial ideas than the Maestro. Any guitar you purchase for that value is going to be laminate, no longer sturdy timber, and heavily isn't an fairly great enjoying or sounding guitar, yet for getting to know on they're stable adequate. don't be afraid to seek for something used that is a miles better guitar for the money although. a sparkling Yamaha FG700S with a sturdy spruce precise is approximately $2 hundred. you're able to be able to discover somebody merchandising a used one for around what you're finding to pay.

I own 2 guitars, 1 new and 1 used (vintage), so I would have to say a new one. I mean just think, my older one was way out of tune, and I still can't get it tuned right!

In actuality the New One would be better because it have have a better neck on it, depends on how well the vintage was taken care of. I just Bought a New Washburn and they have a real nice Black Fender I think of getting for a good friend of mine for Christmas. He playing one of those "First Act" from Wal-Wort. Heee! We all give him a Hard time about that, because he is good.
