PARASO=Day before yesterday

KAL= Yesterday

AAJ= Today

KAL=Tomorrow

PARASO=Day after tomorroow

Does not Hindi have a distinctive indications for timings.

Does it indicate the essentially static nature of life there. Whether it is day after tomorrow it is not going to be any different from the day before yeserday. Tomorrow is not going to be much different from Yesterday.This is what comes from being there for a long, long time. Time tends to average out. To a Westerner this may look rather depressing to an Oriental it is a reassurance of continuity.

It is noteworhy that only India they thought on a vast time scale of yugas each running millions of years.
