The user "chris" is phishing answers. Every time somebody asks a question about getting a loan "chris" answers that he has oodles of money to loan out at 3% and instructs the asker to send him a bunch of personal information. "chris" has done this over 100 times.

Is anyone really dumb enough to believe that "chris", who obviously can't construct a simple sentence correctly has hundreds of thousands of dollars to loan and will do so with no collateral, no credit check, etc. and will charge a fraction of market interest rates?

Shouldn't "chris" just go back to emailing people about how he needs to transfer 10 million dollars out of Nigeria or something?

If people weren't that stupid, than all of the Chris' of the world would be out of business. As long as there are desparate and greedy folks out there, there will be a steady supply of crooks to rook them out of their hard earned money.

The people out of Nigeria, with only a computer in an internet cafe, are often the support of an extended family.
There are new, unsophisticated people getting computers every day.
Businesses in the USA grow rich bilking the poor legally.
If your English was poor, or English was your 3rd language, this may not be readily apparent to you.
People phish because it works. It is a numbers game, and if you catch one out of a hundred or several hundred you do well, if you avoid detection.
Can people be that "stupid"? Yes. Too greedy, I admit. But it is up to people like you and me, who know, to address this situation. I do when I see it, by advising people not to participate, and by turning suspicions over to:

The FBI internet crime reporting site.

I agree. I hope people aren't falling for that. They're opening themselves up for to get taken and/or identity theft.
