I am a lawyer myself: first, there are many criteria for the punishment of larceny to be taken effect. The state in which a person commits the grand larceny will be a major factor (every state has different laws and punishments). second, the actions leading up to the grand larceny (i.e. conspiracy, reason,...) Third, your criminal track record will also be a deciding factor. Lastly, your age will also determine your fate. If the person is under the age of 18, he or she will recieve a lesser punishment than that of an adult. Of course, the severity of the crime (i.e. stealing of $250,000, or stealing $500, along with armed robbery), may be moved to being tried as an adult...if u were under the age of 18 at the time..
hope this helps!

Somebody here seems to think 5 years per 10 thousand dollars. So that would be 15 years and change.
