I am a mother and a dental assistant. My advice to you is dampen a washcloth with cool water and let her chew on it. Anything that she is able to chew on will help ease the pain. They also sell topicals for infants who are teething. It will numb her gums. Just be careful not to apply to much. A little goes a long way!

My son started teething at 10 months, too. By the time he was 9 months old, he already had 8 teeth. I would give him Tylenol or Orajel. There are also homeopathic drops you can buy over the counter that help with the pain and the fussiness. I tried these too.

I really doubt she is teething. Sometimes the signs point to yes (or we believe they do) but nothing truly is going on. I thought my son was teething from early on too--he did do it early (at three months--already with two teeth) so I know there is a possibility. If you want to talk to your doctor, go ahead, but it's really not necessary. My doctor said some babies are actually born with teeth or get teeth as early as a month--it all depends.
ANYWAY--Try baby orajel--available at Wal-Mart or any store like it. It numbs the gums and makes the baby a lot more comfortable. My son never liked anything frozen--it just made him cry more. I did get teething rings and refrigerated them which worked well. They have teething tablets (which I haven't used) that are supposed to help with that too--I believe they are also available at Wal-Mart. By far I think orajel is better though.
Best of Luck!

First,
How do you know that the reason for her fussiness is teething. DO you actually see teeth that are getting ready to break through.. Or has a doctor told you this is the case..
Second,
You may just have a collicky baby..I wouldn't just assume that baby is teething because although some babies have gotten teeth that early it is very rare and often a mistaken diagnosis for parents..
Third,
I would see a pediatrician about your concerns. The baby could just be collicky and have an upset stomach.
Good Luck

Well..i believe that your 10 week old could be teething.. My lil girl was born with two teeth on the bottom. She is now four months and still has them. When she was that little, i would give her a wet wash cloth, she liked to chew on it. And my doctor said it was ok to give her a little bit of tylenol or you could try baby orajel (that works better). other than tylenol and wash cloth...let her chew on your finger..that helps them out alot to..hope this helps!!

Are you sure that your daughter is starting to teeth? I thought my daughter was starting at 4 months, but when the doctor looked, he said she wasn't. You could try some baby orajel but check with her pediatrician to make sure it's ok to give it to her. Other things that I heard work are to wet a baby washcloth and freeze it for a few minutes. The cold will help numb her gums.

Babies don't normally start teething until 3 months or older. If you think your child is teething and she is crying take her to see the pediatrician. She may be having other problems.
If they say that she is teething ,give her a frozen teething ring or frozen washcloth and make sure that you use oral gel. She still may fuss until they come through.

Do you know for sure she is teething? That is awfully early. She may have an ear infection or something else going on. If she truly is teething you might try keeping her pacifiers in the freezer

My son is very virtually 10 months, and does not have any yet!! All toddlers are diverse, and that i've got study and been instructed that the older the child is whilst they get their tooth, the greater constructive their tooth are. So its a solid ingredient to your daughter to be like that.
