Because Christianity is the biggest religion in the world in terms of populace. It makes sense for a hotel to appeal to this majority crowd by allowing it to be there nowadays since the whole Gideon thing went down; brings in more positive reviews and thus more money because there is a general probability that most customers, if asked to state their religion, would be Christians of some kind - therefore, it is easiest to appeal to this large crowd, instead of trying to appease everyone and casting the hotel into a controversy pit, which slashes money. It's good marketing - like advertisement. But very subtle.

A group of Christians called the Gideons got permission to do it. I find it refreshing even tho I dont used them more than .5% of the time.

The Hotels don't do that.

The Gideon Organization does that.
