i ran it yesterday. it said a bunch of cookie stuff was spyware so im like "then delete it" and then these little "x"s poped up beside each program it said was spyware so then when they all have "x"s i press the little "x" at the top of the page and leave. so is the spyware, if there was spyware in the first place, that my dad probably installed on my laptop gone now?

What??? McAfee is a spyware. Don't use that thing. In due time, it will constantly bug you to buy other McCrappy akem McAfee software and it will send things to your computer without you knowing it. There are much better anti-spyware software out there.

If you must choose a pay (not free) anti-spyware, go with Symantec.

If you must choose a free (don't have to pay) anti-spyware, go with spybot search and destroy.

anybody can get spy-ware without knowing it, It could of been you or your dad. Well it gone now but if you like to Chat and visit anonymous web site just surfing chances are you will get some more and McAfee will come though again and fix it.. Don't worry spy-ware slow computers, Virus destroys them....
