Does any one know the name of the grass seed seen on T.V.? It says that it will grow on cinderblocks and stuff? I missed the name of the company and the web site or phone number. Can anyone help?

It was on a infomercial. The seed was coated with fertilizer so it could germinate on just about anything.

ive seen ads for this stuff, and its a roll of sod or something similar. i work for scotts and have been in the green industry for long enough to know grass will need to have an established root system to grow. you can keep a piece of sod living on cement for a little while but you cant keep it growing the roots will have nowhere to go. any company that advertises that, and i know i have seen it, is just trying to make a quick buck. and they will with the amount of gulible people out there. why do you want to grow grass on cement anyways? what is the point? depending on the type of lawn you have stick with high quality seed and a regular fertilizing schedule and youll be ok.

Christin, I would have huge doubts about this commercial. There are grasses that require more water or less water than others but I doubt any would grow well on concrete. There are some new grasses, one of them is called Buffalo grass that require much less water than St. Augustine, for instance. I would check with the County Agent's office where you live and ask them what they recomment. I seriously doubt you will find any grass that doesn't require water. What you're looking for is something that requires as little as possible. Good luck.

I've never seen anything like that. From what I know, grass needs soil to grow.
