I took calculus 1 and 2. I did not need to take calculus 3.
I can say that it could be difficult depending on your math background. If you struggled in math before calculus 1, then it will not be easy to grasp unless you seek tutoring.

Open your mouth and look in the mirror: from www.dentalfind.com/glossary/calculus.html:

"Calculus is the hard residue, ranging from yellow to brown, forming on teeth when oral hygiene is incomplete or improper."

Actually I thought it was a surprisingly beautiful and natural subject. Learning math is a series of steps when you learn how to use necessary tools (boring) and then use those tools to learn neat relations (exciting and fun). I thought the boredom:fascinating ratio in calculus was especially low.

Calculus is easy once you get the hang of it. It simply boils down to rates of change and cumulative totals. What is hard about that? Sir Isaac Newton, who invented Calculus, called it "Fluxions"(his spelling, not mine), which I think is a much better name for it.
