Try this: "I'm sorry, but I forgot your name."

Ask the person who introduced you if someone did. If it was a stranger and all you got was the name than good luck. Always get his addrwess or email.
Try to remember what you talked about, his address, or work place or the kind of job he was into ect. that narrows it down.
If you too live in the same town you can post messages in walmarts:). small newspapers, or online.

Just say, "I'm so sorry, I am not good with names and I have a bad memory. Would you please tell me your name again?" Then repeat it over and over in your head so you will remember. Rhyme their name with something easy to remember. I am never offended if I am asked again. Who can remember all those names anyway?

tell them that this will never happen again, and it has never happened before to you, but you forgot his name...the reason you forgot his name is..you were over whelmed by him and your mind was so so much into him that you can not for some strange reason think of anything but his great looking eyes and face, so please tell me your name
and that should have him eating out of your hand
good luck

Ask the person who introduced you. If not, ask for their card, phone number, whatever. If they give you their phone number, ask them to write their name above their number so you don't get it confused with the people you don't want to call.
