the rocket launcher is a good and powerful weapon for those who wants to blast through the game literally and fight every monster in a breeze... however, it's not the best weapon... the rocket launcher is good for targeting at enemies at a distance but not nearby because it will end up blasting yourself within the blast radius... the rocket launcher is the easiest to obtain too...
the chicago typewriter is equally good... it's like a machine gun shaped in a rifle... it has a fire power of 10.0 and it fires it's bullets really quickly... useful weapon to have because it has unlimited ammo... good for opening boxes, shooting birds or just having fun by taking down the monsters quickly but yet, not blast yourself... can be unlocked by completeing ada's sub-game, separate ways (PS2)...
however, the chicago typewriter is still not the best! there's a better one... there's a weapon called the PRL 412... it's more difficult to unlock... to unlock this weapon that either kills or stun your enemies at the cost of no ammo, beat the professional mode once... difficult but worth it...
now... the real powerful and most difficult to unlock weapon in the game; the 'legendary' hand cannon... this baby might be served as a weight in your inventory because it has limited ammo and the ammo is rare... furthermore, it's fire power is not as strong yet... however, upon several upgrades, which are quite costly, you change this paperweight into an offensive killing weapon... the last upgrade enables you to upgrade it to a stage that it has unlimited ammo and the strongest firepower ever~ however, to unlock this weapon, you have to beat mercenaries sub-game... you need to obtain a 5-star grade for every single character for every single map... that's 25 game plays altogether for this weapon...

the infinite rocket launcher is good...but you will blow yourself to crap if you misuse it...
