Does the Northern Hemisphere owe its financial position to its predominantly temperate climate?

it definitely helps, but it is not a major factor (just look at all the temperate climate nations in Europe and Asia that are poorer than poor), especially in today's world of industry, it is more dependent on who has enough finances to finance a commercial industry of one type or another, therefore the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, another important factor is also the education system, but there again you need the finances to support that too and the same scenario happens

I wouldn't say 'owes', but I would think it is certainly a factor.
