A rich American commisioned me to send a Painting he has had painted, showing Christ, Buddha and many major deigheties sitting together as friends. He hopes and believes it will encourage Worlwide tolerance and religious harmony. Art he believes can get messages into the unconcious mind, where words fail.......I have sent the Picture to dozens of people all over the word, Acedemics, Religious types etc but I get virtually no replies. Why do you think that is ?

you have not said how long you have been waiting for feedback. i would think that something to be used for worldwide tolerance , would require some time to decide on ,especially considering that maybe many artists have been approached.
the other part of me- i know , I can be a cynic, wonders whether you have indirectly tried to ask our opinion of your painting. it is not bad , at all , but i doubt it would inspire me to worldwide peace.(not that ,that isn't exactly what we need). also it disturbs me that you say you hate music, that is like you are going over the top about trying to prove that words are not needed.
as to why no one answers , I am not sure for them , but if I was a fanatical follower of a religion ,having other deities in the picture would be saying that i believe in their existence as opposed to being tolerant of people having a rite to their own beliefs.

Maybe just maybe people are not replying because they are sick and tired of people preaching tolerance and no one is actually practising it.
