well my dad and me have the same laptops...and just today he started charging it and the charge light started blinking (its not supposed to do that) and then i took out charger from the computer then put it ack in then the charger didint work at all.....then i tryed charging it with my own charger and it worked just fine.........is my dads charger broke?

That would be a good assumption. It maybe that there is a break in the wire somewhere. Usually it's close to where it plugs into the laptop. If that's the case it could be repaired if you or your dad are handy that way. The best way to check it would be with a volt meter or test lite of some sort to see if there's any power reaching the plug. To do this, touch one lead to one contact point on the plug & one to the other. If you have them reversed you will get a negitive reading. No matter, mission accomplished. There is power to the plug. It might well be. You might try his charger on your computer to verify that, but if your charger works on his machine, and his doesn't, that's a fairly good indication.
