I've seen them a few times.
Ive seen dozens of big name metal and hard rock concerts. I've seen bands like Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Priest, ect 3 and 4 times each. The only band I was ever disappointed in was Metallica the last time I saw them.
When I go see a metal band that can really kick some ***, I expect them to. But the last time I saw Metallica, they acted like a bunch of middle school kids goofing off. James cracked stupid jokes, tried to put down other bands, and generally came across as an amature and an ******. Even worse, they played a "medley" of their old stuff, focusing virtually all of the show on what was then their new cd. I guess that was an effort to sell the new disc and not alienate their new mainstream fans by pounding them with real metal like "Seek and Destroy". What a disappointment! I would never pay to see them again.

OK (NOT a Big Metallica Fan). I have saw them 4 times. Woodstock, Pine Knob, Millennium Concert at the silver dome. They are very tight instrumentally. They perform there songs perfectly to there studio versions. Crowd participation is very good there fans know are the riffs and lyrics to everything. They play long and non stop. BUT I ALWAYS THINK THAT LEAD SINGERS THAT PLAY GUITAR ARE BORING TO WATCH LIVE. JAMES STANDS IN ONE SPOT AND PLAYS A SINGS BUT THE FOUR OR THREE NOW ARE STATUES. VERY LITTLE STAGE MOVEMENT=BORING. Hardcore fans will never be disappointed but other will not be that impressed.

regularly i might want to say flow to the football recreation when you consider that Metallica sucks, yet when you consider that this may be your first live performance, and football season in basic terms began (Colts and Dolphins have each and every in difficulty-free words performed one recreation so a concepts) you would possibly want to flow to the live performance. besides, all of us comprehend what the top result is going to be. Dolphins are going to get whooped ;-) appreciate your lack of live performance virginity my buddy, oh and practice to be round truly some weed smoke.

I saw Metallica when they opened for the Stones at Pac Bell Park last year.
They were o.k., pretty mainstream stuff, though, nothing like in the old days.

I saw them in '97. They were ok. They don't really impress me anymore. They seem like they only care about the money and not the music.
