it is the time of year.. i always start to see them.. they come from so many things.. from fruit.. they can nest in the dirt of indoor plants (Nat's) .. according to my bug guy.. they will leave (or die) with a month.. they always seem to hang around my house.. so i would just bug bomb my house.. i have alot of plants so i go straight to guaranteed way of getting rid of them.. permanently.. they are so small they can come in the closed windows.. coming through your doors.. and once you have one, there will soon be many...

They hover around your sink, but likely are coming from empty soda cans or some other used container where then feed. Check for empty soda cans in the basement or garage.

I cant tell you where they came from, but I know a fun way to get ridd of them. Take a lighter, an airisol can, and give em hell.

I think sometimes they nest in your sink drains. Plug them up and see if that doesn't stop them. And of course get rid of any food or garbage sitting out.

Do you have a recycleable container in the house? They breed in beer/soda cans.
Keep that stuff outside.
