You could give a thesis about:
how hypnotism is successful/unsuccesful/both;
if hypnotism were to be applied to mentally ill patients, what would the effect be if any;
the usefulness of hypnotism for escape, meditation, or memory recovery;
or a variety of other topics. When I start a research paper, I normally begin researching first, and then narrow my focus on the topic from there. Once you find an area to focus in, the thesis will develop on its own, rather than picking one to begin with that may or may not have enough information on it. You may also want to factor in the length of your paper to help.
Fascinating topic, I think. Good luck with your paper!

Debunk it. Hypnotism is only possible when the participants are totally willing to go along with it, and whenever someone is hypnotized, they are fully aware of their actions during the hypnotism. Also, there is no evidence in support of the claim that you can access repressed memories through hypnotism.

Just start it with "you're getting very, very sleepy..." then in the final sentence, write "You are going to give me an A+... Now wake up!" and that should work.

Hypnosis has been used for years to entertain but it can help stop pain and correct bad behavior.
