He is really starting to scare me. He has night terrors and lately has been sleepwalking into my room and having nightmares that something is coming out of my closet. I got up to go to the bathroom last night and I saw him staring at himself in the mirror in the dark. He looked over at me really weird when i called his name. I went in my room and put my balnkets over my head. When i took the blanket off he was standing over me and made a hissing sound and tried to bite my face. I started to scream and he started to scream and bang on my closet. I have a sliding door and cant put a lock on it. What should I do?

Sleep at the foot of your parents' bed until he gets over it or they do something about it.

I think you need to do some reading on sleepwalking, because I think your brother may have other issues. Sleep walking is not usually carried to such an extent, I know as a sleep walker myself I was always concerned about leaving my house, so I was hypnotized to wake when the bell on my bedroom door jingled. That was how I solved my problem. Also a person that sleep walks often has something really troubling them. Then again I wouldn't be surprised if your brother isn't playing a sick joke on you as well.

You need to tell your ages here! The part of him walking and doing some things is natural for walkers, however he seems to be aware of your fear and is trying to scare you into his dream state which makes me doubtful he is totally asleep. It appears he sees you as a threat and the hiss is a warning. Since you say he is trying to bite you, if so he needs professional help before he hurts someone or himself. Tie bells around his ankles so you can hear him walking. If he stops and takes them off and continues to walk, that is not at all normal and something else is going on. *This appears to me to be a vampire tale. He should recall his dreams, so ask him what he was dreaming about. I did it once myself and played music on the piano, even better than when awake, finished it and went back to bed as the family watched.

Do your parents know? Tell them. He probably wont hurt u unless u agitate him. Sleep walkers are hardly ever violent unless provoked. I am sure there are some special psychiatrists that can help him.
