Sorry NO,

I am a big SMG fan and I have been visiting fan sites about her for a long time. I have seen interview clips, and other video clips available on line, but they are few and far between. The problem is bandwidth. Videos are big files, and hard to compress, unlike pictures. An owner of a website has to pay for the site, and so pay for the space to store the images, and they have to meet bandwidth limits. If a fan site is popular then it is going to have more visitors downloading more information. This takes up the bandwidth owned by the company that is hosting the website. If a website is using up too much bandwidth then it can be told to shut down, or their bandwidth can be restricted. Usually though the hosting company simply charges that website more money to for hosting.

I have seen even pay sites with bandwidth limits. I know of a few such sites that will let their customers only download two things at a time. They also offer zip files to be downloaded. You can either select an individual item and download them two at a time or you can download the zip files. The zip files make it quicker and easier to download material from the site, therefore decreasing the bandwidth being used. Even with customers limited to only downloading two files at a time bandwidth is expensive so to keep costs in line zip files are the best way to handle large files. These sites have all original content, not copyrighted content.

The problem with a fan site is that they can’t charge for handling material that is copyrighted by other people, like the TV stations that provided the interview. If they charged for people to use the website then the TV stations would want those websites to pay them. So fan sites have a restricted storage space, and a restricted bandwidth that can be used. Therefore it just takes up too much of the website’s resources to post a lot of video clips.

SMG Fan has some clips: http://www.smgfan.com/mediamenu.htm, but only a few of them.

With the cancellation of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” there are a lot of fan sites that don’t bother to update themselves, or have just closed down. If she got involved in another TV series that would change, but for now she is concentrating on her movie career. After that she wants to have children, she hasn’t said when, and probably won’t until after she is pregnant, but she will have to do that fairly soon.

There are other websites in the SMG fan circle that feature video clips, but only a few sites bother to offer them and then they only offer a few clips. Another problem is that SMG hasn’t given a lot of TV interviews recently. She is interviewed on the Grudge DVD, but the RIAA strictly enforces those copyrights so you can’t post that stuff and get away with it. You can post some screen shots without too much trouble, but if you included the text of the interview then you would probably get into trouble. I have seen the text from magazine interviews posted, but that is direct copyright infringement, so it is rarely done.

This is the best site to find what you are looking for: http://www.smgvbest.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=12102
This site has some more clips, but few inteviews: http://www.sarahmichellegellarfan.com/videos.php
I would check the sites in this webring: http://www.geocities.com/lara30horacio/webrings.html

If you find any good sites that I haven't mentioned then please forward the URLs to me via my Avatar.

80% of the sites out there only offer still pictures, so just googling for SMG isn't going to help you a lot, I know I have tried.

Try "www.askmen.com". I just "googled" her name and that is one of many sites for her.

Have fun!
