Nope, he was pretty dumb. He led an expedition into the new world, but was such a bad leader that his men marooned him in a little boat in the middle of the ocean. He later had a river named after him in New York.

Gee!! I think so!! He was a major explorer and navigator. Common sense says he was an intelligent man.

Try using an encyclopedia or go to your library and there you will find all the information you need on Hudson. Ask the librarian for help.
