I've been doing some research and it seems that facts contradict public opinion... 90% of people who molest children know their victim very well. 95% of people who molest children don't have a prior conviction of same. This means, relatives, close friends and trusted overseers are most likely going to molest your kids. 3.5% chance it will be a sex offender and 1.5% a total stranger. Aren’t numbers fascinating? I love the Department of Justice Website... Hey, I love Yahoo too! Anyway, It makes statistical sense that a priest or family member would molest your kids rather than a stranger. My advice for keeping your kids safe, don't molest your kids! (Parents and immediate family are the highest statistical threat...) Oh, and keep an eye on your friends too... Good day all. I've got more research to do...

I would say that most people classified as sex offenders are classified as such because they were over age and had sex with thier teenage boyfriend or girlfriend, i have had a few friends labeled as such because the parents got angry and filed rape charges. But that being said, anyone who would molest a child is dangerous and just downright wrong.

All sex Offenders Are risky ,very nearly ninety% re offend once they are released from reformatory ,there's a reason a sex criminal isn't allowed to stay close to school and that is because they are risky ,you do not ought to bodily damage the baby to be risky ,As a sufferer of years of sexual abuse ,i desire to sometime see guidelines that are 0 tolerance and sex offenders get life sentences for first time offenses

The very fact that they are a sex offender would make them dangerous in my opinion.

I think the fact that most victims know their attackers (like you said, family, priest, neighbours, etc) is because of the ease of access that these sex offenders have to their prey. It's much easier to work your evil on someone who is known to you and whom you have easy access, than to abduct a total stranger.

That's not exactly what that means HOWEVER, you have come to a conclusion that is almost correct. Sex offenders of SOME TYPES are very dangerous and others aren't at all. However, what it really boils down to is BEING SAFE. Your own behavior determines what will happen to you AND your children.

i think it terms of molesters coming after ur children, then yes they are dangerous. but not all sex offenders commit sexual crimes. for example, if a guy urinates in public and gets caught, then he becomes labeled under a sex offender. so depends on what kind of sex offender it is.

I would estimate that 100% of the raped and molested chlidren would agree that sex offenders are dangerous. Doesn't matter who it is.
