there are lots of reasons here... maybe its because you know each other for too well, or it could be because you realize you closeness as friends is starting to move to the next level. love just comes out naturally... if it comes then it comes.

This is always a tricky situation. Does the other person show any romantic interest in you?? If they do, and you are interested, then that is amazing!! That would obviously be the best thing that could ever happen!
On the other hand, if you don't know if the other person is romantically interested in you, you'll really have to think about this. I've been in this situation twice before, and it's ended up badly. I've fallen for a "best friend" type person, and I thought I'd tell him. Unfortunately he didn't feel the same way. Things got very ackward and now we aren't even friends. I would love to go back and change that day, but obviously I can't. I'd still have a great friend at least... but oh well. Things happen for a reason. Another time I'd fallen for a best friend, and he knew it but we never talked about it because I didn't want to be embarassed and possibly ruin another friendship. So we're still friends now though so that's good.
So you're just going to really have to consider it. Another option might be that you tell the other person and at first he doesn't think anything of it, but it may spark something in them. They might start thinking about it and start to form feelings towards you because of it.
The only think I can say is good luck to you!! I wish I could be more helpful, but I don't really know either of you or your history... Not to mention I'm not a mind reader :) but I hope it all works out in your favor!

What if you try it, and it's awkward and there's no chemistry, and then you have to try to be friends only again? Which is more important, the frienship or the sex? If you just HAVE to know, then go for it, but be ready if it's not what you expect, and have a plan if it's not.
