Sorry. Reagan doesn't get the top spot as far as I'm concerned. How can you put him above men like Washington, Lincoln, both Roosevelt's and even Truman?

I see your problem. You've read A history book and not SEVERAL history books. There are more than one, you know.

In Reagan's era, Maggie was really his only equal; and she was pretty good.

The founders were obviously great. Churchill was top-notch. Truman had enough balls to drop a bomb & save countless US GIs.

GWB is paralized by altruism; sorry to say that, unless something drastic changes in his perspective, he won't accomplish the great things that he could.

I really have to put Washington at the top -- president-wise -- b/c he had done it all; from general of our military victory to leading the nation; to setting the tone for 200+ years. Jefferson was the intellectual victor.

Reagan is no where near number 2. He was not a great president. Number 2? Considering some of our great presidents were Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, and Kennedy, how do you even consider him that high, much less high at all?

And as far as a history book, I lived through it. I have seen the Iran Contra Scandal, his racist comment about Black women and welfare, his refusal of raising minimum wage, and his trickle-down theory which made the rich richer, he is far from second.

James Buchanan is the only President I can think of that tops Ronald Regan. Spiro Agnew did, but he was only Vice president. What about Walter Mondale? No, I don't think he was President. I think Alexander Haig would have been awesome too, given the chance.

Reagan was one of the "all time greats"?
If that's the case, let's not forget to add Stalin, Hitler, Lenin, and George W. Bush to the same list!
Reagan was a troll, a third-rate actor who read his lines well. Bush is a moron, a third-rate idiot who can't tie his shoes without being told how. -RKO-

"No one can compare to Reagan" Voodoo economics, arms sales to iran, iran-contra coverup, more members of his administration indicted than any other in history, etc... ad nauseam. Yep, he's number one.
