If I used more than 10% of my brain power, perhaps I could answer this question. Frankly, I think "brain power" is highly over-estimated. We can tap so many dimensions that have absolutely nothing to do with intellect--& are far more reliable. THINK about it! (hee hee)

Yes, it is. I had two 'major' heart attacks, and the medication I was on 'fogged' my brain. I went to my computer and started playing games ... 'match three' games and mahjong games ... and I started reading even more regularly than I did before (I used to read a book every two days, now I read one book a day). I also talk and listen ... mostly with my husband, but I'll have a conversation with anyone I meet on the street or the bus if they want a conversation. They may be 'nuts' but I still like those conversations because they keep me 'on my toes' to keep up with them ... and my 'brain' has come back 'on line' ... it's not quite up to it's old speed, yet, but I'm '9/10 back' and if I can do that, so can you or anyone you know. WORK your brain constantly, and your brain will 'get into shape' quickly. Then you must continue to 'work it' though, or your 'gains' will soon be lost.

They only use 10% of their brain power AT A TIME. Often misunderstood. If they used 100% all at the same time they would surely blow some circuits.

It is a myth that we only use 10% of our brains. We use 100% of our brain. Now, depending on what and how we use it is a different question.

id say its accurate that we only use 10% of our brain most of the time. i know i do. i hardly ever use any fraction of my brains power. but then when i sit down to study or read a hard book it becomes very apparant to me how little of my brain i typicaly use. ...so i suppose if we all used 100% of our brain more often we would all be smarter and more enlightened. ...dont count on this happening anytime soon.

There is a lot of redundency in the human brain. This enables other parts of the brain to take over if a part is damaged (sometimes).

Using 100% of the useable part means we are using 100%. The legendary other 90% is just administrative, like 'put one foot in front of the other', and 'bite... NOW! bite... NOW! ...that's it: keep missing the tongue' while you eat. Some of it isn't really brain tissue proper, but head cheese.

If a person used more than 10%, he/she would certainly be famous and could probable invent things that we had never thought of. If he/she didn't get a great job, he probable would be a scientist with the ability to see things sooner or better than normal man.
