Recently my boyfried told me her would no longer go down on me because it was too smelly down there. I was never really self-concious about this area before, because I'm a very clean person. What are some things I can do to keep it clean and smelling nicer?

Maybe you have an infection in that area. I would go to a doctor and get it checked out. I don't recommend douches as they take away the natural oils in the body. If you bathe often you should not smell down there at all.

1st off, like someone else said, see your gyno, the odor may very well be from an infection. Odor is a tell tale sign.. 2nd, try a feminine deodorant. While others recommend a douche, I don't think they are a good idea. Your vagina has natural acids in it - why add more??? And the concept to a douche really isnt all that great of an idea. Try some natures eve, found in the feminie section, or get some vagisi and see if that help clea things up.
Women have natural odors. But when a man continues to ejaculate in you this can also cause some odors. When you wash insert your finger ( in the bath ) and wash out the inside. Also try to wipe up with a baby wipe, after toilet paper when you use the br. It will help things from building up.

Well in island countries like trinidad, for example, they use lime to clean down there once a week. Haven't tried it yet. But some people at my work say that is works. Maybe you want to try that out. But anyway, we all have an odor down there. Do not fret, it is normal. My friend went to the doctor cause it bothered her that she couldnt get rid of her smell. The doctor said there is nothing to do, its normal. Shower works but after a long time that area sweats just like other areas. Plus, you may smell different during different times of the month... Sometimes, I keep baby wipes in my bathroom or i use wet toilet paper to clean and then i dry with dry TP. Powder can work too. Lastly, another trick is putting deodorant in between your legs just outside on the skin area to keep it from sweating. don't get too close to the inside though..... Hope these tips help :)

Well, if you've been washing it regularly- every time you shower- then I don't see what the problem is. He might just not want to go down on you...

However, it might be a sign of an unnoticed problem, such as a yeast infection or a hormonal imbalance. I'd get checked out, just in case. Whatever you wind up doing, don't douche- that will just disturb the bacterial balance of your vagina by altering the acidity, which could make the problem worse. Yes, your vaginal fluid is acidic- everyone's is.

properly i'm sorry you do no longer prefer to pass and get it checked on the grounds which you are able to as that's purely GOING TO worsen. plenty WORSE. It looks like the two vaginal thrush or bacterial vaginosis that's amazingly simple for women and ladies, I recommend i've got had the two approximately three times in my existence, that's no vast deal. you like it checked because of the fact no volume of washing is going to make it pass away. it gets plenty worse which you would be saved unsleeping at night from the itching. while you're youthful, purely tell your mum. Say "mum i think of I truthfully have vaginal thrush". Or "Mum, are you able to take me to the rfile because of the fact i think of I truthfully have some thing incorrect down there". consumer-friendly, do it, and sturdy luck ;)
