1. Germs can be spread by a sneeze. First there's a big bunch of germs expelled. Then they gradually diffuse to fill the room.
2. When someone passes silent gas, one can smell it because the gas diffuses throughout the elevator.

I think that a great example would be a fart, the gas diffuses until its not concentrated and you can't smell it. Is that good enough?
