My sister bought a green one-piece jumpsuit for my niece and hot-glued big black felt triangles to it and she went as a baby dinosaur.
It was great because she was at the walking stage where she staggered slightly with her hands out in front, just like a T Rex.
Quick, easy, and you may be able to use a onesie you already have?

Get a beige sweat suit and a pair of colored jockey shorts. On the sweatshirt top, create some "muscles" by painting shadows with a light brown paint where his abs and pectoral muscles would be. Pull the jockey shorts on over the sweat pants and tuck the shirt into the waist band. Also be sure to stuff the sleeves of the shirt so he has very muscular arms and you will have a body builder. Make him a fake barbell with a wooden dowel inserted into 2 large styrofoam balls and painted black.

You could make a bat costume out of black sweats with a hoddie and black fabric just sew the fabric to the under side of the sleeves and little triangle to the hood. Or a skunk with the same black sweats just get a bit of white fabric also. or with the same black sweats a skeleton. Also with the black suit and some sheer fabric a house fly. White sweats hoodie and a old white sheet to make a mummy. All of these ideas are comfy and warm.

attach a few socks, some underwear, and some used dryer sheets, to any old outfit. And go as static cling. Maybe frizz your
hair out, so it looks static'ee
I saw at a party once, two girls wearing black leotards on their legs, and black hefty trash bags on their torso area (which was stuffed with something to make them look big and round) and they had on dark sun glasses and a cane. Any idea what they were? BLIND DATES get it, like raisin kinda dates. It took a while to sink in, but eventually I got it. (original)

Construction worker - overalls, hard-hat from Goodwill, some plastic tools from the dollar store.
Farmer, too, overalls with straw hat and a strand of grass to chew on.
Seriously, the dollar store and your imagination will yield lots of cool ideas.
