If somebody has a source of when Bush blamed Saddam for 9/11 I'd be glad to look at it.

arianah, nice try but Bush didn't link Saddam to 9/11 in the quotes you mentioned. He is just making a point of how dangerous it would be to have Saddam with weapons of mass destruction because he would sell or give them to terrorists. That is not blaming Saddam for 9/11.

Because he made enough implication to reinforce that Saddam had something to do with it.

Bush linked Iraq and the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks: "The battle of Iraq is one victory in a war on terror that began on September the 11, 2001 -- and still goes on. That terrible morning, 19 evil men -- the shock troops of a hateful ideology -- gave America and the civilized world a glimpse of their ambitions."
Moments later, Bush added: "The liberation of Iraq is a crucial advance in the campaign against terror. We've removed an ally of al Qaeda, and cut off a source of terrorist funding. And this much is certain: No terrorist network will gain weapons of mass destruction from the Iraqi regime, because the regime is no more. In these 19 months that changed the world, our actions have been focused and deliberate and proportionate to the offense. We have not forgotten the victims of September the 11th -- the last phone calls, the cold murder of children, the searches in the rubble. With those attacks, the terrorists and their supporters declared war on the United States. And war is what they got."
A number of nongovernment officials close to the Bush administration have made the link more directly. Richard N. Perle, who until recently was chairman of the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board, long argued that there was Iraqi involvement, calling the evidence "overwhelming."

That's funny, I have seen more reboobs talking about the link between Saddam and 9/11, than anything else. Bush made strong implications that Saddam was involved with Al-Qaeda and therefore may have been involved with the 9/11 attacks. Quit whining, just cause you know reboobs are going down in Nov.
dukalink6...excellent link, way to use one of their own reboob rags to answer his question, you deserve the 10 pts!

Ignorance. Bush DID say there was a connection to terrorists through the Saddam regime, but NEVER said any connection directly to 9-11, that's the FACTS! :)

LIberals blamed Bush for Hurricane Katrina. Why do Liberals do anything? Maybe they think Bush blamed Saddam because the War in Iraq started soon after our invasion on Afghanistan.

Bush made it a fact that Saddam was involved. Colin Powell even produced the "evidence".

He is on record for implying a strong link between between Iraq and Al-Qaeda. If he never exactly said it, he was certainly deceptive in his words to suggest it to justify the war.

Liberals will do all the tactics to blemish the record of Bush in order that they will win in the coming election. Dirty tactics are often not entertained by the electorate.
