ALSO WHEN I REV IT UP AT HIGH RPM'S IT FLUCTUATES. WHEN I COME TO A STOP IT SEEMS AS IF IT WANTS TO KEEP GOING. AND ALSO SHIFTS REALLY HARD WHEN I COME TO A STOP. THIS ALL STARTED WHEN MY WIFE WENT UP ON A CURB AND PUNCTURED 1 OF THE TRANNY COOLING LINES AND RAN TRANNY DRY. AFTER THAT THE OVER-DRIVE LIGHT WOULD FLASH AFTER AWHILE OF DRIVING..

Try this. Try keeping the RPM's up just a Tad before putting it in gear by holding light pressure on the accelerator, and then put it in gear. If it doesn't die, that's a classic symptom of a "Dirty Throttle Body". I recommend a 'Major Engine Tune-Up" and if my raising the RPM's test works, then also ask the mechanic to clean the throttle body, and be sure to have him remove all carbon from the bore where the butterfly blade meets up with the air intake holes. Dodge has had this problem ever since fuel injection started to be used. All vehicles probably have the same problem. It's caused by the lack of PROPER regular maintenance. :))

it sounds like the lock up converter is staying locked. It would react like a standard transmission without pressing the clutch. Needs to go to tranny shop.

a lock up converter can make it stall and also check the throttle position sensor.
