Notarized permission of the other parent that you can take the child into Mexico ... and a passport (or DL and original BC)

It depends when you are going.

If you are traveling before the end of this year, you will need either a birth certificate with a driver's license or passport for you. And then a birth certificate or passport, inlcuding a notarized letter from the other parent saying the baby can leave the country for the baby.

But if you are traveling after the end of this year, everyone needs a passport, no matter what the age. You will still need a notarized letter from the other parent.

*You need the notarized letter only if the other parent isn't traveling with you.

But if you are a single parent and the other parent is NOT listed on the birth certificate, you do not need a notarized letter from them.

Have fun!

Soccer_mom is right in the passport thing, but Parental Consent letter is not longer required for minor's, if traveling with one parent at least. You can check this website (The Mexican Consulate in Toronto:

http://www.consulmex.com/eng/consular_visa_tourist.asp?US

Also, you can call these guys 1800 44 MEXICO. They are the Mexican Tourism Board (actually I should say "we are" haha. I work there and probably I might take your call)

Note: We DON'T have prices listed for anything. THNKS!
