Whose theory do you agree with, whose do you disagree with, and any other thoughts on these great thinkers you would like to add...???

All these thinkers had different ideas of "the self"... I'm just basically asking what your views and ideas are on any of these three great thinkers...

I disagree with each thinker on your list. Freud's observations on the id and anal-retentiveness (etc) are difficult to substantiate via empirical means. His views on religion are also suspect and not that useful. Nietzsche was a racist and misconstrues biblical Christianity in his writings. His rejection of good and evil is arbitrary and his overall philosophy is self-refuting. Finally, Descartes' errors have been thoroughly documented in many modern theoretical works. The anthropological dichotomy that he conceives between res cogitans and res extensa is highly problematic. If res cogitans and res extensa are two distinct substances, then how do the two form any kind of meaningful unity? These are some of my criticisms in brief.

Nietzsche said God is dead...
the other i am not familiar with so no comment there
strangely though i am a fan of Freud's work
