My friend is going to get implants and I asked her if she had to replace them every few years...she didn't know and it was not something she had even asked her Dr.

Are breast implants regarded as lifetime devices?

Breast implants are not regarded as lifetime devices. It is likely that you will undergo implant removal at some point over the course of your life. At this point you have the option of replacing your implant or removing your implant altogether.

The lifespan of an implant is at least 10 years. Most women keep them for much longer than that: 15-20 years.

The only way to be sure that they are safe is to never get them to begin with! Women falsely think that they are judged by others, including men, by the size of their breasts. Men falsely think that they are judged by their "size" as well. The fact is, there are lots of men in this world that prefer proportional women instead of women with disproportionate, fake breasts. You will find that most men don't like implanted breasts.

Tell your friend to just be herself! Besides, breast implants, while they may or may not be dangerous the fact is, they have never been proven to be 100% safe, so why go through the risk?

Breast Implants surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

As I understand, unless they break or are leaking, they should be good indefinitely.
