The person next in line to assume the Presidency if the President and Vice President die on the same day is the Speaker of the House of Representatives. That's a no-brainer. I've learned that in my civics class back in high school!

The speaker of the house would take over until there was another election. The Speaker of the house does not serve the rest of the term he is only the president while a special election is being run to find a new president.
