Do you feel sad for homeless people? Do you wish you could help them in some way? Can they ever recover?

Yes, I feel sad for them. The only thing you can really do is pray for them. It is not wrong or a bad thing to give them change from your pocket. I was always told not to because they'd just buy alcohol, but in truth, none of us knows what they would buy, and if I have some change, maybe I'm helping some.

I lived in a thre bedroom condo and paid rent for years but was not on the lease and living with ex boyfriend ,was recently homeless and it sucked but I had very little time to be sad my stuff is still in storage,here there and everywhere and I must move again but yes I am recovering , there are alot of people who work full time and are homeless some people lose their homes and jobs and you can help them like I do by donating food ,clothes especially nice ones for job interviews and baby pampers ,formula to churches and homeless shelters that help homeless families

I think part of being homeless involves choice. No question they are going through hard times, but I think a part of them chooses to live out on the street. Help is free and available for them but they just don't want it yet. It is often very hard to help a person who doesn't want help and this is what is sad about it. All of the psychiatric literature says that a person has to want change before they can change, and therapists will sometimes blast their patients for not wanting something bad enough to work for it. So, I guess the homeless can't be helped until they want help, and since getting help also means getting clean and sober, this makes it even more of a challenge.

I do wish i could help the homeless and every other hurt in the world, i think too much money is spent on war etc, imagine how many people could be helped with that cash. Weather or not they can recover, well it hard to say, they just need that one break in life. I hope they can recover. I feel real selfish at the moment, because i have been so unhappy in the dump i have been living in for a year, thanks for getting my priorities straight.

Yeah definitely!!!I wish that one day i can help them...like share something with them during christmas....I wish i could do that...maybe you could help me...what do you think?These homeless and the less fortunate can be recovered with the help of the government,,,these people need homes....the major need for every individual.....and after that...a job to feed their families...
We simply cannot blame these poor people because God has a way....on how rich people will perceive...i mean they are given the opportunity to help these people live life as simple as possible...to be able to eat 3 times a day....
I hope we can start organizing a simple group on which we can solicit goods and distribute these to those people who are in need....t.c.

feel sad and mad that most church,s and charity organization,s keep asking for donation.s and money and we pay for them to the help homeless people but the homeless are getting larger and larger in every city and there is no solution so far god bless the homeless and thank for the LAND LORD,S who make,s this tragedy get bigger

oh i feel so bad for homeless people you know you see more homeless people in this time and day than ive ever seen before its so hard for people to make a living now days everything is so expensive .

yea i sometimes try to think about what their life used to be. But then i realize some of them did absolutly nothing at all and that was the luck, or unluck if you prefer, of the draw and other they well kinda brought it upon themselves... i often think about donating yea but all the money i make i really need for payments...which sucks
