I would first be concerned about WHY you took 24 sleeping pills. Was it to hopefully induce a miscarriage, or was an attempt to kill yourself?
Most major organs and systems are forming in the first 3 months, so any "chemical" interference with that development could damage the baby.
Either way, you need to see your doctor. Do you have an OB yet? If the pill "thing" was just a stupid reaction to something at that moment - tell them. They can do a high level ultrasound to check out as much as can be seen. Some things though, can't be seen.
If you're having thoughts of repeating the excessive pill intake, or other method of self destruction - and destroying the baby as well - ask him or her for a referral to a counselor. Parenting is a tough job - especially if you'll be going it on your own - your child needs you healthy and strong enough to take good care of them and be a good role model.
Please take care of yourself. Children are such awesome creatures, you don't want to miss one minute of your child's life.

I'm not sure why you weren't admitted to a hospital by taking all of those pills, but yes, they can hurt the baby as well as your own health. I recommend you go to your doctor right away! I also think you should seek some sort of counseling to deal with whatever is wrong in your life, no one should be taking that many pills. Just remember, suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. I contemplated it more than once when I was younger and learned to lean on God for help with my problems, instead. Good luck to you and your baby!

Yes, it will definitely affect the baby. The first 3 months of pregnancy is very important since the development of the organs of the baby occur during this stage. The child may develop abnormalities. Some drugs might be teratogenic.
It is important that you tell your OB-Gynecologist ASAP. Whatever emotions you carry on during the pregnancy will definitely show in the baby.
The Obstetrician gynecologist-sonologist must be informed about it when you will have yourself for ultrasound. Congenital screening are being done!

Why would you need all those sleeping pills in the first place? All those pills at once can't be good for anyone, pregnant or not.

Are you trying to kill the baby????? Geez. If you didnt kill it, then you could just have a baby with problems. That was dumb. Why would you do that? You should be dead anyways from 24 sleeping pills. So I doubt you did that.

That was a question to ask your doctor before you took them last Friday. You have really got to be more cautious when you are pregnant!

yeah. you should try to take sleeping pills AFTER the baby is born. that way you won't be running around opening your legs for men and instead you can be home sleeping all the time. whor
