I'm using an Intel motherbouard that does not come with an Analog CD-in, so even with the wire in my hand, I cannot connect it, the directions say to go to the device manager and click on propierties and put a check mark on the "allow digital audio", done it but nothing happens... I have sound for everything else, just not fron the drive... any suggestions?

Check the settings in the program that you are using to play the CD and set the volume on it. You must also make sure that your volume settings in the control panel "Sounds" is correct and not in mute. Your sound card also may have settings for the volume. Make sure that you have selected the drive that the CD is in. That means if you have 2 optical drives, you have to tell the player's program which of the 2 optical drives contains the CD that you wish to play.
