No... because there's more to it than that.
You have to stay married for a year and during that time you are responsible for the bills that persons incurs... about 2 years ago a woman here did that and the man she married ran up debts so substantial that she had to file bankruptcy and she's facing a charge of fraud.

Don't do it! If you are found out of this arranged marriage you will face jail time and thousands of dollars in fines. You have to be together for 5 years before he/she can keep the green card and divorce you. If you guys divorce before that time line he/she loses the card...The process of getting a green card is a very difficult and expensive.. And you end up just hurting people who genuinely are in love and wanting to live together as a husband and wife and who have to go through the green card process in order to be together. Think more than twice about this!!!

I think you should not. My husband and I have been together for almost 9 years married for almost 5. We had to go through the whole INS thing, it was long and hard. They wanted pictures from years back, Cards and letters from family, letters from friends and family about our relationship. It was just a long process. Plus you have to be married for 2 years (that is what the lawyer told me). After he had his green card for two years we had to go back and do another interview they wanted to know why we didn't have kids and why i had not changed my last name of my address on my licenses. I told them that I can't have children I am a modern women and Like my last name. And that we were in the process of buying a house so I still used a P.O. box. They ended up checking into everything.

Plus one other thing to consider is that in the event that you marry this guy you may not get them money. You may really fall for him. Or last you fix his papers then divorce and you fall in love with another illegal and have to go through it all over again. What do you think INS will think?

ABSOLUTELY NOT ! and if someone has made you such an offer--- don't fall for it. When you are legally married to anyone, for any reason--- you give up all of your independent rights. You must file taxes together...submit to any physical advances they make on you, etc...etc...etc...They can take out a major life insurance policy on you. and even if you get divorced they can still pay into the policy and collect,( when & if you accidentialy die!) I know of such an offer that was made to a female friend in San Francisco, it is a scam !!! Don't fall for it. It is not like what happened in the movie green card. It's bogus AND illegal. And there are strict penelties for people who aid & abet foreigners to do this. They will find out and you will pay a much higher price than $59,000.00 ! Don't be lured into this trap for greed ...it will be THE BIGGEST MISTAKE YOU EVER MAKE IN YOUR LIFE!!!!

Absolutely not. Not only is it illegal, it's immoral. It is prostitution in the truest sense of the word, and has nothing to do with actual sex. The amount of money means nothing.

No. I know a woman who claims she did it and she recieved the up front money, but never got the rest. Its a dangerous game and not worth it in my opinion.

no,if they can afford to give some one that amount of money for a bogus marriage, they can afford to get into a country the normal way.I myself just wouldn't be able to do it.To me marriage is a life commitment.

That's really not right, I definitely wouldn't be involved in anything like that and i would report anyone that i knew was up to a scam like that. Marriage should be respected its sacred.
