My last name is Rush - and it is kind of nice when you are ordering pizza, because they will look at your order and say, "Oh you're the rush order."

My first instinct would be to say no, but I've already done just that (and knew long before we had our son that we would). My son's name is Liam Croughan Coil. Croughan is an old family surname and has been the middle name of a son for 6 generations of Coils now. There are some surnames that I just don't like as names, even middle names. I'm honestly not all that thrilled with Croughan, but it was important to my husband and I don't hate it so it really wasn't worth fighting over. I do think it's a cool idea for other people if they like it though, there are some surnames that make really good first or middle names and I personally love names that have familiar significance.

The Parsis who live in India had fled from Persia because they were Zoroasterians and were persecuted for their religious beliefs.

First names are generally Persian, like Rustom, Darius, Cyrus, Shirin, Meher, Zenobia etc.

Surnames are
1) Place names, like Bharucha, Neemuchwala, Ichaporia, Billimoria etc
2) Professions/businesses, like Contracter, Kapadia, Doctor, Readymoney, Daruwalla (Hindi for someone dealing in liquor)
3) Priestly families - Dastur
4) British names.Employees of the British might have adopted their employer's names, like, one who works for Boyce, or Marshall, etc

Again in South India, people have names that are like ABC - A is their village's name, B is their father's name and C is their own first name means -
C who is the son of B from the village of A!
A sizeable number of South Indians DONOT have surnames! Many are now changing it to adapt to the modern ways though.

Arrabella Rose

To me and my family the name Arrabella is special. It was my dear old mothers name and we would tease her about it because it was so unusual (Ethel Emily Arrabella) as kids we would say Yellow belly instead of Arrabella. But now my son has called his second daughter Arrabella Rose. People alway comment and say it is a lovely and unusual name.

well i guess it would have to be the name Ron white uses, he calls people this and it has a stigma to it you wouldn't believe each time he describes these people that have it they can't change a thing they just don't get it. so it has to be the one name he says can't be fixed
