If you are hiding it, that is cheating, otherwise it would not have to be hidden. This is one of the biggest problems, created from the internet, in relationships today.

If you feel you need to hide something... anything... from your partner... I think there must be some reason as to why you're hiding it, and you should examine that first of all.
While something such as conversing with a member of the other gender behind your partner's back may not viewed as "cheating" per se, at least by the majority of the world... It's probably still not something that should be hidden for any reason.
Trust is key.

Hiding things from your partner is dishonest but I guess it comes down to what are you talking about with this person? Is it just " HI, how was your day?" if so then no it is not cheating,if it starts getting mushy then I would have to say yes, it is cyber cheating

You should be able to answer that yourself. If you found out your spouse was chatting with the opposite sex on the net, would he/she be cheating?

Aslong as your not going to go out with him on a date than no, if your chatting to him as a friend, there isnt much harm in that. Just dont give out ur number or any personal info. But if u feel in urself that ur cheating than maybe u should give up the chatting.

Well yes and no - if you're just talking to him and not catching feelings or anything then its not cheating whether or not you tell your partner....but then again you shouldn't keep things from him cuz you wouldn't want him to do that to you.
And if you are catching feelings and talking to him on the low that is called emotional cheating and it is wrong!

the chatting could be compleatly innocent, but I'd want to know why it's being hidden!, secrets raise susspision, if you're in an honest relationship, then neither of has has anything to hide,

Not if it's just a friendly chat and nothing more. I am married and have a couple of guy friends who I chat with online, but they are just friends..
If it's more than that then YES, I think it's cheating..

No, but the fact you feel the need to hide it says a hell of a lot, so expect a poor reaction.

If you are hiding any behavior, it's because you feel guilty. And if you feel guilty you are doing something wrong. It might not be cheating per say, but it isn't being honest with your spouse.
